The PL 17 seal is made from polypropylene and features a steel locking mechanism.

The seal band of the PL 17 has a particularly small diameter of 1.4 mm and a length of 300 mm. These two properties in combination are unique and make the seal versatile in its applications, especially for securing water meters, measuring and display devices, and for labeling textile materials, such as carpets. Due to the low elongation at break of polypropylene, it is suitable for sealing gas cylinders or fire extinguishers. In the standard version, the seal is provided with a prefix and a continuous 6-digit number. Additionally, the seal can be marked with a text or logo. The pull-tight seal should always be firmly tightened when applied.

The PL 17 can easily be removed, with a simple cutting tool or even by hand.
