Clamp lock fastener Series 4500

Heavy-duty toggle latch for single-hole installation for electrical engineering and machinery industry. With its sturdy construction and large clamping range, it is particularly suited for large tolerances or when using rubber seals. The lock is also available in waterproof version IP 65 and stainless material. It is delivered with VDE-security head (DIN 43668), star grip, slot or square head.

Function:
By turning in a clockwise direction, the bolt is placed into the locked position. If the lock is turned further, the thread will tighten the bolt, the door is pushed against the frame. When turning counter-clockwise, the bolt will return to the open position, the door will open. In comparison to other toggle latches, the bolt is closed form fitting, which is particularly important in case of sticky or stained rubber seals. The variable clamping range is 7 mm. The clamping range of - 9 to 44 mm can be covered with 7 shaped locking latches.

Assembly:
For installation, drill or punch a center hole of 25 mm diameter, as well as a slot for the locking pin across from the frame. The lock is pushed through the hole and mounted with the nut. Threading the lock into the hole and pushing the nut over the lock is only possible if the locking bolt is positioned in the stop position and in the center of the notch.
