The PL 91 pull-through seal is highly versatile. It is particularly used for securing tankers, e.g., for food products, lidded boxes and other containers, wire cages, hatches, doors, cabinets, lids (e.g., for silos), bags, and sacks.

The PL 91 indicative seal is made of polyethylene and features a locking mechanism integrated into the seal flag, made of temperature-resistant acetal plastic. The seal flag is marked with a sequential 6-digit number and can optionally be printed with a barcode, logo, or short text of up to 34 characters. To close the seal, the ribbed seal strap is inserted from the unmarked side through the locking mechanism.

The pull-through seal should always be applied tightly. The PL 91 can be removed with a simple cutting tool.
