The Tyden Customs Seal is approved as an official customs seal in Germany. It is especially suited to securing curtain side trucks fitted with TIR cables, box trucks, railway wagons, lorry tankers and containers, as well as boxes and other items for despatch.
The Tyden Customs Seal is approved for use in Germany as an official customs seal. Its construction is similar to the Tyden Ball Seal, except the crown of the locking body is green and the strap is embossed with ‘Zoll D’ (denoting the name of the German customs authority), as well as a 6-digit consecutive number. The Tyden Customs Seal is authorised under German customs law through its prescribed identification measures. The Tyden Customs Seal has a tin-plated steel strap with a thickness of just 0.3 mm, making it ideal in situations where sealing apertures are narrow. The seal is fastened by pushing the tip of the strap into the open slot of the ball until it clicks shut, creating a fixed length loop.
The seal can be used with the Tyden Tie extension tie wire, if the sealing apertures are spaced too far apart. Wire cutters are required to remove the Tyden Customs Seal.
